Episode 4: How we stirred up Black Coffee

In conversation with Rahul, co-founder of Beanly Coffee

Rahul doesn’t just brew coffee—he brews ideas. The man’s got a knack for satire and statistics, and somehow uses both to justify his wildest drink concepts. Like putting oranges in your Americano.

The Twist No One Saw Coming: Fruit + Coffee = Summer Romance

Black coffee was getting... boring. Especially for those steering clear of milk. So, we thought—why not shake things up? Something refreshing. Something surprising. Something that still kicks like coffee but cools like juice.

Enter: Tropical Americanos.
Yep, we took your classic Iced Americano and gave it a fruity spin.

The Line-Up:
Sunrise Americano – Orange Juice + Espresso
American Pie – Apple Juice + Espresso
Yuzu Americano – Yuzu Juice + Espresso
Grapefruit Americano – You guessed it
Lavender Haze – Elderflower, Lavender, and a shot of espresso

Did Rahul and Samayesh really hand-pick oranges and squeeze them fresh for that first Sunrise Americano? Rumour has it, yes. That’s dedication. Or madness. Either way, it tastes good.

Not My Jam (But I Get the Hype)
Confession: I’m a Cheesefoam Americano loyalist. But for the sake of the coffee community—and our experimental souls—we went all in. And we’re not done.

What’s Brewing Next?
Textures. Think creamy toppings. Dessert-y lattes. Flavoured foam that doesn’t just sit pretty, but makes your drink a whole experience.
(Hello, Strawberry Swirl Latte. You sweet, sweet thing.)

Parting Sip of Advice?
Break the mold. Rethink the “normal.” Try the weird combo. It might just become your bestseller.
Because what’s life (or coffee) without a little mischief?
